Luz natural.

Dependiendo la época del año y del momento del día, la luz natural sufre grandes cambios y ofrece diferentes visiones de los objetos. La mayoría de los fotogáfos escogen días soleados, pero recomiendo también días nublados o lluviosos, pues las perspectivas cambian. Depende también de lo que se quiere expresar. Si optan por días soleados, recomiendo la luz de las primeras y últimas horas del día, porque la exposición al sol no es tan fuerte y evitan las sombras, además, la luz naranja da un toque especial.

Por otro lado, si eligen días nublados, lluviosos o con niebla, les invito a practicar retratos o realizar tomas cercanas, ya quela falta de luz reduce la visibilidad.

Filtros.

Los filtros son recurso muy usado para dar diferentes puntos de vista, aunque hoy en día con los programas de edición digital se han quedado un poco obsoletos. Existen dos tipos, encuadrados y enroscables. Encontramos los de densidad neutra (reducen la cantidad de luz que entra en el objetivo aunque sin modificar los colores), los UV o Skylight (filtra los rayos ultra violeta, mejoran LA luminosidad y reducen la bruma, aunque su principal función es la de proteger el objetivo), los polarizadores (reduce reflejos indeseados de superficies como agua y ventanas) o los filtros de colores (utilizados para colorear ciertas zonas o zonas completas, dándole a la fotografía un toque especial).

Accesorios Escenciales.

Cada fotógrafo dirá que hay accesorios de la cámara digital que son absolutamente necesarios y, por supuesto, algunos que sólo estarían bien tener. Accesorios escenciales para mantener la cámara segura:

Bolsas

Ó caja para la cámara digital es un accesorio imprescindible. Las cámaras son pequeñas y delicadas – lo suficientemente como para caber en el bolsillo ó bolso y bastante delicadas que no toleran mucho caer y golpearse en todo. Puede ser pequeña, algunas son duras y resistentes otras son rellenadas. Hay que pensar en cómo se suele llevar la cámara. En la mano? Por encima del hombro? En una mochila o bolsa? En el cinturón ó bolsillo? Luego, piensa en los elementos que se suelen llevar con ella, por ejemplo, baterías extra, un lente, limpiador del lente ó el instructivo.

Baterías & Tarjetas de memoria

Si quieres estar seguro de que siempre serás capaz de tomar esa gran foto es necesario tener dos accesorios escenciales: una batería y tarjeta de memoria extra.

Algunas baterías son caras, especialmente si son recargables, pero tan pronto como puedas compra la batería extra y asegúrate de que está cargada y siempre lista. Otras cámaras digitales son de pila desechable, entonces nunca perjudica tener una par a la mano.

Incluso si tiene la tarjeta de memoria de mayor capacidad , se sigue siendo un sabio fotógrafo si se mantiene una extra a la mano. La capacidad de la memoria o la tarjeta no le va a ayudar mucho si la tarjeta se estropea. Mantén una de repuesto.

Tela limpiadora de lente.

Puede parecer trivial como accesorio, pero si alguna vez has tomado una imágen con una mancha, agradecerás tener una tela de éstas a la mano. Una maravilla de las cámaras digitales es que se puede ver la captura de inmediato.

Trípode

Varían en tamaño y costo. Sin embargo, algún tipo de trípode es otro esencial accesorio del que no se puede prescindir. Permiten la creación de un disparo, ajustar el temporizador y estar en la foto cuando la imágen encaje. Algunos son lo suficientemente pequeños para transportar a todo momento.

Una vez obtenido lo esencial, checa al fabricante de accesorios especializados de la marca de to cámara. Por ejemplo, si se tiene una Canon, la cámara digital accesorios, como flashes desmontable, son muy a menudo de marca específica.

Lo mejor es tener lo esencial y estarás listo para conquistar el mundo con fotografías !!

Oh, love!

Matt and Mika got married on the 25th of July. A hot day, for a hot couple! The day was very eventful but the bride and groom always kept their cool and made everyone enjoy the moment. The venue was in Pomona and their ceremony started around sunset time, lighting was very challenging, and we were aiming to capture as much natural light as possible.

We had very limited time to do this session, but I had a great time and and worked some of her ideas. Thinking about all the limitations we faced that day, but from the time she was just hanging out on the couch to striking a pose for a moment, T think the pictures turned out better than I thought at first.

Aileen turned 15 last weekend and we had the privilege to be her photographers. Such a tasteful event, with the very unique Mexican touch and style. The ceremony was at San Agustin's on Washington Blvd. Beautiful images that I personally love and will consider one of my favorite ones. The reception and party was amazing. We even got to hit the dance floor and boogie with the entire family! Me and the crew simply had a blast!

Souad and Luis were one of my favorite couples in 2008, we had just so much fun from the day we met for their engagement session, until last weekend, when we met again to do their baby pictures. They are expecting Daniel in about a month from now. Here is a sneak peek of that day, and also alongside a couple of shots from their wedding day.

There are basically two methods of pricing photography: one is to price the service of taking the photos, and the other is the charge for the afterward retouching and polishing of the images, proofing and putting together and album, these, accordingly to the client's needs.

One of our main goals is to provide our clients with high quality product/service at an excellent price! Unlike many photographers, we provide them with one high-resolution cd in jpeg format, this enables them to achieve significant savings. They can also pick and choose exactly which pictures to be printed or enlarged if they decide for us to this for them.

Our temporary Price list is still in progress, but we're going public with our starting prices:

- Wedding packages start at $899.00
- Headshots and Portraits at $99.00

Potential clients still have to call in for details as we are still taking the measures necessary to adjust our quality to their needs and combine them to result in uncomplicated and amazing photography.

www.thepearlphoto.com is finally published, this means that a big step has been taken. We are a group of four young photographers working our way to success! Our one common thing among each other, is that we strive to photograph the best of people, or any object in front our lenses. We are usually paired in groups of tow for almost any event and this last year, 2008, probably our most successful year (so far), and were blessed with tons of work and wedding photography, mostly. We've learned a lot! And this blog will serve us to expose our up's and down's so far.
